Get ready for a rare and exciting opportunity to peek into the world of top NFT project founders!

In a recent interview with ngmi podcast, they spoke extensively with Luca Netz of Pudgy Penguins and Frank of DeGods.

These industry leaders shared their insights on everything from building Web3 and NFT projects, to their motivations in the NFT space and their projects’ future plans. Plus, they even gave us a sneak peek of some exciting alpha developments.

If you're passionate about NFTs, this episode is a must-watch. But before you tune in, check out these highlights from the interview:

Building an NFT Project

Luca aims to build a Web2 and Web3 company at the same time, especially because we cannot control macro bull and bear conditions.

He wanted to prove that you don't need much money to perform well in the NFT space. At the same time, nobody was building a similar NFT project with Intellectual Property (IP) and brand with blockchain technology. For the space to win, he wants to invade the hearts and minds of everyday consumers.

The problem in Web3, Luca believes, is that no NFT project is making real revenue and translating value back to holders. As such, he feels like his superpower (from his entrepreneurial background) is lacking and needed in the space.

Frank believes that we can never lose the roots of Web3 natives. A strong community is needed to drive high floor prices and loyalty before institutions would decide to allocate capital to these blue chip projects.

Better communication from NFT projects

Luca understands that cool shit takes a long time to build, but even so there are many things a project founder can do to keep the output consistent.

With consistent output and communication, audiences can then use that to decide if your project or other investments is the better bet for them.

Pudgy Penguins Alpha

Luca’s goal is to make Pudgy Penguins similar to a first edition Pokemon card - but this pokemon card you can license and monetize and trade without friction.

He aims to build the next great IP brand and translate it back to the original collection.

He is also hoping to make the monetisation of IP rights seamless, by building tech and infrastructure to allow users to monetise their IP with a few button clicks.

Another novel aspect Luca is building is tying of NFT and Web3 technology with the physical toys produced - where all physical toys will come with a customisable digital collectible.

He is also considering implementing staking in an innovative and clever way.

DeGods Alpha

With one of the strongest communities with holders around the world, Frank’s goal is to build a Soho House competitor.

It will start with a pilot city in LA, followed by scaling it in other major cities.

He aims to make it the best investment on yourself you can make.

On their motivations in the NFT space

If we can reward the community that stood with us through thick and thin, that's the win.

Frank

One of my motivations is that I want the 'I told you so' moment for anyone who believed in us.

Luca
