From infinite regret to being at peace in Crypto

We often have many regrets in crypto. How can we change that?

We all have many regrets in crypto.

“If only I did my research before ape-ing into this project.”

“If only I took some profits at the top.”

“If only I minted the project when I had the chance.”

“If only I minted more NFTs when I could.”

The list goes on.

If we only focus on the could-haves, we will have infinite regrets in crypto.

How can we change our mindset from one of infinite regret, to one of peace?

Here are some ideas:

1. Surviving in crypto

The fact is that there are MANY projects bringing insane returns in crypto, and there will always be the next project.

A lot of success in this space comes down to luck too. Being at the right place, at the right time.

The fact that we are in this space at this time is already a win.

Being patient, doing our work and waiting out our eventual turn at success is the way to go.

Having a decent income to keep on dollar-cost averaging into high conviction projects; continuously researching and learning about new protocols and projects; taking some wins and losses.

Experience is the best teacher. “The only thing you need to do to thrive in this space, is to survive this space.”

2. Focusing on our actions rather than the outcomes

Our actions are within our control, while the outcomes are not.

Even the best researched, highest conviction decisions might have chances of failing.

The inverse is also true.

When we only look at our gains and losses, our emotions are stuck with them.

Instead, keep a crypto journal and write down our theses and conviction. These are the notes that we should be judging ourselves against.

When bad results happen in spite of best efforts, we can take it in stride knowing that we tried our best.

If good results happen with little effort, we will also stay grounded in knowing that it was purely luck.

3. Taking a step back

Money is important in this space, and often how we measure success.

But let’s not forget that our eventual goal goes beyond money.

Many of us who join crypto “for the money”, yes, but that is ultimately also for higher order goals.

To be happy and healthy. To spend time with friends, family and loved ones. To have the freedom to pursue our dreams whenever we want.

If our blind pursuit of money in crypto compromises these goals, it is perhaps time to take a step back and rethink our efforts.
